Sand Casting Bed

The bed is the pig-casting station: a sow runner down the centre feeds eight mold cells, four to a side, and one pour fills all of them at once. It pulls metal into its runner itself rather than being poured into, so feed it from a canal and let it draw.

An iron heat freezes into carriable pigs, unit for unit, and a slag heat cast on the same bed comes out as Slag Brick instead, so a slag tap needs no separate station of its own. Build it from fired brick and Green Sand, in that order; the sand goes in last and is never taken back out. See Iron and its grades.
