Green Sand

Sand blended with clay and damped so it holds an impression. "Green" means uncured, not the colour.

8 sand plus 1 blue clay makes 8 Green Sand at the crafting grid, and the Sand Casting Cell rams it in once, permanently: nothing takes it back out again once the cell is loaded. See Molten metal and casting for what happens after the pattern goes in.
