A block cast from tapped furnace slag. Cheap, heavy and plentiful - lay eight up with mortar.

Eight Slag Bricks and a mortar build into 2 Slag Bricks at the grid, five bricks and a mortar into 2 Slab, seven and a mortar into 2 Stairs; the brick itself only ever comes off a Sand Casting Bed pour of slag, never from a recipe that starts with the loose item.
