Heavy Cast Plate

Heavy Cast Plate is what a Sand Casting Cell casts from a Pattern into the heavy-plate cavity, 160 units, and it is the tier's own answer to a hearth plate: the puddling and reheating furnaces' own hearth rows are built from it, and so is every machine here heavy enough to need one - the rolling mill, the crop shear, the fastener benches, the flywheel. Nothing here substitutes vanilla iron or steel for it: a recipe that reads it names it by its own code, so a heavy cast plate has to come from the casting line and nowhere else.
