Transmission
Three variants share one block: the belt transmission and the gear transmission are fixed ratios with no lever at all, and the clutch is the only place two separate shaft runs can be told apart, with its own cell right-clicked to engage or disengage. A disengaged clutch leaves both sides fully independent, one main shaft turning while the other stands dead still.
See Shaft power and the flywheel.
