Puddling Door

The puddling furnace's work door, with a second small door beside it. The small one is worked through so the heat does not pour out of the big one every time.

The door is two doors in one block, standing two tall: the big main door for charging and drawing the hearth, and a small working door beside it for rabbling the bath and drawing balls without losing the whole heat's draught on every stroke. Keep the big door shut once the charge is in, and work the bath entirely through the small one.

See Puddling furnace and Iron and its grades.
