Piping (Valve)

Hand-operated shut-off.

A plain hand-operated shut-off: right-click toggles it, and closing it severs the network at that block so the two sides act as independent runs until it is opened again. Opening a valve that was separating two different pressures equalises them at once, which can dump a full run's pressure into an empty one faster than expected.

Comes in the cast and plated tiers a run itself does; the plated build takes a higher working pressure than cast, and only the art differs between them.

See Pipe networks and pressure.
