Piping (Straight)

Carries gases or water.

The plain pipe segment a run is built from, iron or steel, orienting itself to its neighbours as you place it. It is one of the four shapes that take part in over-pressure failure: one pipe holds 30 L at 1 atm, and the weakest plain pipe anywhere on a run, this one included, sets the burst rating for the whole run, 5 atm for iron and 10 for steel.

Hold that ceiling for 30 s with nowhere to vent and one pipe at the rating, chosen at random, lets go: its cell turns to air and the run splits in two at the gap.
