Fluid Pump

Engine-driven pump. Transfers water from intake line to pressurised output line.

This is the sub-machine, not the engine: it seats in an engine's drive cell and does nothing on its own. It draws from the line under it and delivers out of its left side, at 100 L/s per unit of the engine's current power and a head of three quarters of the engine's own inlet steam pressure, so a Watt Engine on a 3 atm line delivers at 2.25 atm and 30 L/s.

A Fluid Pump with no intake on its source line runs and moves nothing, and its look-at line says so. Feeding a boiling vessel above 1 atm flashes extra steam on the way in, so hold this pump's feed off a boiler that is already running with a valve rather than leaving it coupled.
