Engine Fluid Pump

Engine-driven pump. Transfers water from intake line to pressurised output line.

This is a sub-machine, seated in the drive cell under a steam engine's beam rather than placed and worked on its own. It moves water from its intake line to its output line at a rate set by the engine's delivered power, and it pressurises the output to a fraction of the engine's inlet steam pressure, which is what lets it lift water back into a boiler.

See Steam engines and sub-machines.
