Engine Crank

Engine-driven crank that turns axles, supplying mechanical power to machines.

Also a sub-machine, seated under a steam engine rather than placed on its own: it turns the engine's delivered power into a steady speed on ordinary vanilla axles, holding that speed as long as the load stays within the engine's rating and stalling outright only once the load passes roughly double it.

See Steam engines and sub-machines.
