Crucible Steel Ingot is what a sealed pot pours into a mold: a heat that has never touched fuel ash, so it carries no slag streaks the way pig or cast iron does. Melting the ingot itself only ever recasts it into another ingot, one for one; twenty Crucible Steel Bits smelt back into one ingot the other way round, and breaking the mold under a cooling pour is what drops bits in the first place. No smithing recipe reads it.
