Crucible Steel Bits are the ingot's melt-down chip, twenty to the ingot. Charged to a Cupola they come back as cast iron like any other scrap; only a direct smelt at twenty to one returns crucible steel. They are the recovery route for a piece that came out of the pot wrong.
