Tall Hopper

Two blocks tall; charges the furnace shaft below it. It holds one material at a time, which is how a round is laid: a load of fuel, then a load of burden.

It has no on/off toggle, so a loaded hopper drips until it is empty regardless of what else is happening below it.

Placed over anything but a furnace shaft it accepts nothing, since there is no column beneath it to charge. See Ore handling and burden.
