Sand Casting Cell
Ram Green Sand into the cell once, which is never taken back out, then press a Pattern into it to raise the impression; the pattern takes a point of damage for the privilege. Let the run fill it through the launder face, wait for the cast to harden, then take it out empty-handed to shake the part free and rake the sand back to full for the next pour.
A pour that arrives too cool, or runs short, hands back scrap instead of the part. See Molten metal and casting.
