Shingling Bloom

Shingling bloom is the pile of Puddled Balls on the anvil while the helve beats it into a Shingled Bar: the first ball lays a layer of voxels and the second stacks on top, so the shape and the metal recovered exactly match the finished bar. It stays hot-workable only - a pile that cools below half its melting point on the way to the anvil has to go back in the fire rather than being hammered cold.
