Charge Pile

The charge standing in a furnace shaft, in bands - fuel under burden, as it was laid. The furnace owns it; this is the window onto it.

Right-click it empty-handed to take one band off the top of the column the click landed in; breaking it instead splices that block's whole share out of the column and drops it as loose stacks, one per material and grade standing in it. That is the recovery route for a furnace that has chilled with cold charge sitting out of reach at the bottom of the shaft.

A held stack does nothing here: charge only enters a shaft through the Tall Hopper above it. See Ore handling and burden.
